Changes to Christmas Services

Christmas Service Arrangements @ APC

Due to the current Scottish Government advice and Church of Scotland Guidelines as a result of the new Covid-19 OMICRON variant, it is with some sadness that the Kirk Session has made the following decisions.

  • The Christmas Eve Crib Service and Christmas Day Worship are both cancelled

  • The Watchnight Service at 11.30 pm and Boxing Day Sunday Worship at 10:30 am, will go ahead as planned, following the Guidelines explained above.

  • Social distancing of 1.5m will be in place and the seating will be arranged to accommodate this.  This obviously means we will have reduced capacity. As a result, pre booking for any service from Christmas Eve onwards is required

  • Bookings can be made from Monday 20 December for Christmas Eve and all other Sunday services until further notice, via email on: or by phone on: 01764 660152 or 07467 793061

  • There will be no teas and coffees available after any services until further notice

  • Masks will be necessary for all adults within the Sanctuary and all other church buildings and you re requested to take a lateral flow test before attending worship

  • Congregational singing can continue behind masks but there will be no choir

We would ask for your understanding as to why these new restrictions are necessary and, while it is disappointing that some things cannot happen, it is hoped that these current restrictions will allow worship to continue safely for the foreseeable future.

Current hygiene expectations will continue to be supported.
