Both Primary 6 classes from the Community School of Auchterarder, came down to the church today , about 50-60 children in total. We were led through the story of Holy Week by Gordon Roy from Scritpure Union - and our close neighbour in Blackford, of course, aided and abetted by around 9 members of our congregation! We began the journey up at the school and waving palm branches, entered into the church to be met by upturned tables, empty cages and coins spilled on the floor. And so the story went on, told in action, drama, video, discussion and the senses e.g the children tasted all the elements of a Passover Meal , with some very interesting faces pulled! The pupils' attention was amazing and many intersting questions were asked. A great success and hopefull to be repeated!
